An Independent claim is also included for the production of a molded body comprising extruding the starting material, in which the nozzle plate of the extruder has holes in the form of a cross-sectional surface (3) of the molded body. Preferred Features: The boundary layers are planar surfaces. The molded body comprises a strand with n-cornered cross-section and variable length (where n is at least 3). The molded body contains an adsorbent, preferably zeolite, silica gel or activated charcoal.
