The method and the equipment are used for fertilizer production by ammonia spraying in sulphur oxides-containing gas and irradiation of the gas by an electron beam. The sulphur oxides-containing gas is cooled by a heat-exchanger (2) and cooling tower (3) after which it is fed into a technological reactor (4) where ammonia is injected into the gas and the latter is irradiated by electron beam. The product of the ratio of the ammonia concentration to the water concentration in the gas before the electron beam irradiation and the ratio of the ammonia concentration to the water concentration in the gas after its irradiation is controlled to a preset value. 13 claims, 7 figures
