The present invention provides a novel biocide composition and a method using a biocide composition for attacking and killing microorganisms with subsequent growth inhibition, preventing the build-up of microbial slime that is generated in industrial water systems, such as open or closed water-loops in pulp and paper mills, cooling-water systems, oil field water systems, and fuel storage systems, by adding to the water a combination of bacteriocins. The present invention also provides a novel biocide composition and a method for using a biocide composition for replacing chlorination of drinking water in poultry farms, in order to minimize the formation of biofilm, or to help retard the spread of infectious agents through contaminated water in the drinkers.La présente invention concerne une nouvelle composition biocide et un procédé employant une composition biocide pour attaquer et tuer des microorganismes avec inhibition consécutive de la croissance, empêcher l'accumulation de biofilm microbien qui est produit dans les systèmes d'eau industriels comme les boucles d'eau ouvertes ou fermées dans les usines à papier et à pâte à papier, les circuits de refroidissement par eau, les systèmes d'alimentation en eau de champ pétrolifères, et les systèmes de stockage de carburant, par addition à l'eau d'une combinaison de bactériocines.
