PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a first side cover from accidentally coming off a first side plate.SOLUTION: An attaching/detaching operation part 33 for attaching/detaching operation with a first side cover 16a of a double bearing reel 10 includes a projection part 33a which projects toward a first side plate 15a. The attaching/detaching operation part 33 swings at a first position detachable from the first side plate 15a, at a second position being not detachable, and around a spool axis 20. A lock member 34 includes an engagement groove 34a capable of engaging with the projection part 33a. The engagement groove 34a includes a first end 34f which is opened and a second end 34 g which is closed. The lock member 34 can move to a lock position and a lock releasing position. The attaching/detaching operation part 33, when at the second position, regulates movement of the projection part 33a under a state being engaged with the projection part 33a, and tolerates movement of the projection part 33a when at the first position.【課題】第１側カバーが第１側板から不意に離脱するのを防止する。【解決手段】両軸受リール１０の第１側カバー１６ａの着脱操作用の着脱操作部３３は、第１側板１５ａに向けて突出する突起部３３ａを有する。着脱操作部３３は、第１側板１５ａに対して着脱可能な第１位置と、着脱不能な第２位置とスプール軸２０回りに揺動する。ロック部材３４は、突起部３３ａに係合可能な係合溝３４ａを有する。係合溝３４ａは、開いた第１端３４ｆ及び閉じた第２端３４ｇを有する。ロック部材３４は、ロック位置とロック解除位置とに移動可能である。着脱操作部３３が第２位置にあるとき、突起部３３ａに係合した状態で突起部３３ａの移動を規制し、第１位置にあるとき突起部３３ａの移動を許容する。【選択図】図９
