PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a collection direction in multi-slice imaging so as to improve quality of an MR image.SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus 100 includes an input unit, a collection direction determination unit, and an imaging control unit. The input unit inputs a first region indicating a position of a display cross section in a positioning image. The collection direction determination unit determines a collection direction orthogonal to a series of a plurality of slices related to multi-slice imaging on the basis of a static magnetic field distribution related to a second region, at least a part of which overlaps with the first region and the first region.
