The information code generation method includes providing a specific pattern region and a data recording region inside the code area, the specific pattern region being disposed with a specific pattern having a predetermined shape, the data recording region storing a data using multiple kinds of cells; and showing at least a part of the code area using a shape, a pattern, a color, or a combination of the shape, the pattern, and the color. The shape, the pattern, the color, or the combination of them identifies a classification regarding a code content of at least either a record content stored in the code area or a display content shown in the code area.
