On embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for controlling a medical treatment device which irradiates radiation on a patient. The method for controlling a medical treatment device comprises the steps of: obtaining, at regular intervals, an input image signal which includes information about a posture and a surrounding background of the patient, and contains a plurality of pixels； generating input image data including information about contrast intensity of each of the plurality of pixels by converting the input image signal into a digital signal； analyzing whether a variation in the input image data is out of a predetermined variation threshold value to generate reference image data； generating motion data including a true pixel with motion and a false pixel without motion based on whether a difference between most recently created input image data and the reference image data is out of a predetermined motion threshold value； and controlling the radiation of the medical treatment device by determining whether the ratio of the true pixel among the plurality of pixels is out of a predetermined control threshold value based on the motion data. According to the present invention, an algorithm which reflects a motion of a patient′s surrounding background is applied, such that the motion of the patient′s surrounding background is excluded, and it is possible to detect a motion of the patient.본 발명의 일 실시예는 환자에게 방사선을 조사하는 치료기를 제어하는 치료기 제어 방법에 있어서, 환자의 자세와 환자의 주변배경에 대한 정보를 포함하고, 복수개의 픽셀로 구성된 입력영상 신호를 일정한 시간 간격을 두고 획득하는 단계와, 입력영상 신호를 디지털 변환하여 복수개의 픽셀 각각의 명암 강도에 대한 정보를 포함하는 입력영상 데이터를 생성하는 단계와, 입력영상 데이터의 변화가 기설정된 변화 임계값을 벗어나는지 여부를 분석하여 기준영상 데이터를 생성하는 단계와, 가장 최근에 생성된 입력영상 데이터와 기준영상 데이터의 차이가 기설정된 움직임 임계값을 벗어나는지 여부에 따라 움직임이 있는 참 픽셀과 움직임이 없는 거짓 픽셀을 포함하는 움직임 데이터를 생성하는 단계와, 움직임 데이터를 기반으로 복수개의 픽셀 중 참 픽셀의 비율이 기설정된 제어 임계값을 벗어나는지 여부에 따라 치료기의 방사선 조사를 제어하는 단계를 포함하는 치료기 제어 방법을 개시한다.
