Recombinant nucleic acid encoding modified forms of peptides involved in neurodegenerative diseases, useful for identifying potential therapeutic agents
New recombinant nucleic acid (I), encoding a protein or peptide (II) that is involved in neurodegenerative diseases, is modified to make possible targeting of (II) to a specific cellular compartment. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) (II) produced by expression of (I); (2) a vector containing (I); (3) cells containing (I) or the vector; and (4) non-human animal containing one or more (I) or vector, in some particular cells or in all its cells.
