Provided are a maize parthenogenetic haploid-induced gene ZmPLA1E and a use thereof. After a mutation occurs in a coding region of the ZmPLA1E gene, the ZmPLA1E gene can produce and significantly improve a parthenogenetic haploid-induced capability during the process of selfing or crossing, as a male parent, with another maize material. The haploid-induced gene ZmPLA1E can be used for cultivating high-frequency parthenogenetic haploid-induced lines and haploids.
