PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone regeneration material having a high bone regeneration ability.SOLUTION: A bone regeneration material comprises a coprecipitate of octacalcium phosphate and fluorine. A method for producing the bone regeneration material for example comprises: a step of forming the coprecipitate of octacalcium phosphate and fluorine by adding an aqueous solution including a calcium ion to an aqueous solution including a fluoride ion and a phosphate ion and a step of drying the coprecipitate, while conducting the addition at a speed of addition of 7 to 130 mL/min and at 50 to 80°C.
