PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abalone vasa gene marker, and an RNA molecule to inhibit the expression of abalone vasa protein, as methods of promoting the growth of abalone for the efficient production of abalone.SOLUTION: This invention provides a novel abalone vasa gene marker, an RNA molecule to inhibit the expression of abalone vasa gene and protein, a method of inhibiting the expression of abalone vasa gene and a method of inhibiting the development of a germ cell line of abalone.
