PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost awakening device exerting an excellent awakening effect of causing no incongruity sense by reproducing a state of sunrise in the natural world with high accuracy, and prompting a sleeper to comfortable awakening.SOLUTION: An awakening device includes: a lower light source obliquely upward or horizontally sideways illuminating a sleeper an upper light source obliquely downward illuminating the sleeper and a light source control part controlling illuminations and color temperatures of the lower light source and the upper light source in a state that the illuminations and the color temperatures are associated to simulate a state of sunrise. Preferably, the light source control part has: first control means maintaining an extinction state or a low-illumination state of the lower light source, and maintaining an extinction state of the upper light source second control means operating subsequently to the first control means, and gradually increasing the illumination of the lower light source third control means operating subsequently to the second control means, gradually increasing the illumination of the lower light source, turning on the upper light source, and gradually increasing the illumination and fourth control means operating subsequently to the third control means, gradually reducing the illumination of the lower light source, and gradually increasing the illumination of the upper light source.COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT【課題】自然界の日の出の様子を精度よく再現して違和感の生じない良好な覚醒効果を発揮し、就寝者に快適な覚醒を促すコスト低廉な覚醒装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の覚醒装置は、斜め上向きにまたは水平横向きに就寝者を照らす下部光源と、斜め下向きに前記就寝者を照らす上部光源と、下部光源ならびに上部光源の照度及び色温度を関連付けて制御することにより日の出の様子を模擬する光源制御部とを備える。光源制御部は、下部光源の消灯状態または低照度状態を維持するとともに上部光源の消灯状態を維持する第1制御手段と、第1制御手段に続いて作動し下部光源の照度を漸増させる第2制御手段と、第2制御手段に続いて作動し下部光源の照度を漸増させるとともに上部光源を点灯して照度を漸増させる第3制御手段と、第3制御手段に続いて作動し下部光源の照度を漸減させるとともに上部光源の照度を漸増させる第4制御手段と、を有することが好ましい。【選択図】図8
