PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately align an ultrasonic image with a medical image taken by a medical image diagnostic apparatus of the different kind from an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus.SOLUTION: An image processing unit 17 of the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a pseudo ultrasonic image forming unit 17b, an index computing unit 17c and an aligning unit 17d. The pseudo ultrasonic image forming unit 17b forms a pseudo ultrasonic image by converting a three-dimensional medical image in a pseudo manner into an ultrasonic image based on the physical characteristics of each tissue described in the three-dimensional medical image used as an alignment object of the ultrasonic image, and sound source information. The index computing unit 17c computes an index showing similarity between the pseudo ultrasonic image and the ultrasonic image. The aligning unit 17d repeatedly carries out pseudo ultrasonic image forming processing and index computing processing by changing sound source information, and carries out alignment based on a position in the three-dimensional medical image of the pseudo ultrasonic image in which the index becomes optimal.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】超音波画像と、超音波診断装置とは異なる種類の医用画像診断装置により撮影された医用画像との位置合わせを精度良く行なうこと。【解決手段】実施形態の超音波診断装置が有する画像処理部17は、擬似超音波画像生成部17bと、指標算出部17cと、位置合わせ部17dとを備える。擬似超音波画像生成部17bは、超音波画像の位置合わせ対象となる3次元医用画像内に描出された各組織の物理的特性と、音源情報とに基づいて、当該3次元医用画像を擬似的に超音波画像に変換した擬似超音波画像を生成する。指標算出部17cは、擬似超音波画像と超音波画像との類似性を表す指標を算出する。位置合わせ部17dは、擬似超音波画像生成処理及び指標算出処理を、音源情報を変更することで繰り返して実行させ、指標が最適となった擬似超音波画像の3次元医用画像における位置に基づいて、位置合わせを行なう。【選択図】図2
