PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granule-containing toothpaste having opposing functions of granule feeling and disintegrating property, and also having the high removing performance of dental plaque or soil at the surface of the teeth and the gaps among the teeth.SOLUTION: This toothpaste contains silica granules produced by a wet method and having 100 to 300 &mum mean particle diameter includes granules as 80 to 100% spherical form, and shows 12 to 30% deformation rate of the particle diameter in a compressing direction expressed by (formula 1) at the time of disintegration by compression with 1.51 g/sec loading speed to one piece of the granule.
