Methods and devices for positioning and securing ligament grafts are provided.Ingeneral, the devices and methods utilize an implant having a particular outersurface profile and abone tunnel having a complementary profile to provide a form fit between theimplant and bonethat utilizes friction to position and secure a ligament graft within thebone. Such an implant canbe used in conjunction with a variety of ligament grafts, including hamstringligament grafts. Inaddition, an "outside in" approach can be utilized with the implant tominimize the risk ofdamaging adjacent tissue during an operation and provide enhanced surgeoncontrol. Thedevices and methods can be utilized in connection with repairing or replacingligaments in avariety of joints, but can in some embodiments have particular utility incruciate ligamentreconstruction procedures.
