PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type clothing article having patterns visible from the outside when being worn and being manufactured at a relatively low cost.SOLUTION: A pants-type clothing article 1 includes an outer wrapper body 3 formed by including a stretchable outer layer sheet 31 located at a distant side from a body of a wearer, and an inner layer sheet 32 located at a close side of the body of the wearer, and is stretchable in the lateral direction X. The outer layer sheet 31 has a plurality of patterns 5 formed by mutually crossingly arranging a plurality of slits 51 and 52 that extend in the direction of crossing in both directions of a vertical direction Y and the lateral direction X, where the plurality of patterns are independent. In a state where the outer wrapper body 3 is not stretched, the slits 51 and 52 are closed, however, when the outer wrapper body 3 is laterally stretched from the non-stretched state to the stretched state, the slits 51 and 52 are opened, the slit width is enlarged, and consequently the visibility of the stretched-state pattern of the clothing article from the outside is improved compared with that in the non-stretched state.
