PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in absorption performance such as a diffusibility, absorption rate and a liquid return amount and excellent in shape retention of an absorber.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises: a liquid permeable top sheet 21 a liquid impermeable back sheet 23 and an absorber 22 arranged between the top sheet 21 and the back sheet 23. The absorber 22 comprises a ventral part 1a, a back side part 1c, and a crotch part 1b arranged between the ventral part 1a and the back side part 1c, and on at least the crotch part 1b of the absorber 22, plural filamentous slit parts 221 extending in a longitudinal direction of the absorber 22 are provided. The slit parts 221 contain no fluff pulp and high absorbent polymer and penetrate the absorber 22 in a thickness direction of the absorber 22.
