يلعب مستخلص الميثانول للنبتة c. Telephiifolia دور حامي للخلايا ضد التسمم الكبدي الناتج عن رباعي كلوريد الكربون (cci4) عند الفئران، مكنت المداومة اليومية على هذا المستخلص للمدة 60 يوما عن طريق أخد جرعات يومية (من حجم 5 إلى 10 mg/kg) من معاينة تحسن حالة الفئران التي تم إخضاعها للإختبار، كما لوحظ عند أخد جرعات من حجم mg/kg 10تقلص مهم في حجم الورم و إنخفاظ مهم في ناقلة ألانين alat و ناقلة أسبارتات asat مقارنة مع الفئران التي لم يتم إخضاعها للتجربةPlant methanol extract v. telephiifolia" plays a cytoprotective role in desmouris' hepatotoxicity. Ala dose de 10 mg/kg/jours on note une réduction de l’induction de la tumeur et une baissesignificative du taux des alanines amino-transférase alat et del'aspartateaminotransferaseasat plasmatiques par rapport aux témoins intoxiqués.
