PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent article which improves in air permeability in an exterior body, reduces internal stuffiness, suppresses recalling of an uneasiness for the leakage and improves in use feeling.SOLUTION: The exterior body 2 of the invented underpants type absorbent article 1A is formed extending in a horizontal direction Y and set with an elastic member 23 between an inner layer sheet member 21 and an outer layer sheet member 22. The exterior body 2 has a plurality of penetration holes 25 penetrating the inner layer sheet member 21 and the outer layer sheet member 22.
