The invention relates to an orthodontic appliance in which a rod (4) connects a lower tray (8) linked with the lower jaw to an upper tray (6) linked with the upper jaw of the same patient. Said rod, which is a single part, comprises a first portion (10) for attachment to the upper tray and a second portion (14) for attachment to the lower tray, and a central portion for adjustment (12) that extends between the two attachment portions and presents an undulating shape.
