PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod which suppresses the effect of a spine, and is easy to use.SOLUTION: The fishing rod is a tubular body which is made in a tubular shape by wrapping and laminating a main pattern 5 of prepreg consisting of substantially axially reinforced fibers around a core metal 6. A wrapping start side 5A and a wrapping end side 5B of the main pattern 5 are wrapped around the core metal 6 to be inclined apart from the axis line X of the core metal 6 as much as a root side. The wrapping start side 5A in an inner layer and the wrapping end side 5B in an outer layer are arranged to have a spiral shape with respect to the axis line X of the tubular body from the tip side to the root side, dispersing a wall thickness changing part in the tubular body.
