PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is excellent in a masking effect against an odor originated from an excretion.SOLUTION: An absorbent article in the invention includes a surface sheet 12 positioned on a skin-facing surface side, a back surface sheet 13 positioned on a non-skin-facing surface side, and an absorber 14 interposed between both sheets. The absorbent article has a heat generating part 3 including an oxidizable metal and active carbon, an electrolyte 2 adjacent to the heat generating part 3 in a thickness direction of the absorbent article, and an aroma-material holding composition 5 for holding an aroma material on the side of the back surface sheet 13 with respect to the absorber 14.
