PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fitness of leakproof walls while preventing a wearer from feeling discomfort in an underpants type disposable diaper having leakproof walls.SOLUTION: A underpants type disposable diaper (1) is provided with an absorbent body (10) and a pair of leakproof walls (50) which are provided on both sides in the horizontal direction of the absorbent body and stand on the skin side of the wearer when worn. The leakproof walls (50) have: contact parts (53) which have prescribed width in the horizontal direction and are in contact with the wearers body when worn a first inclined wall part (51) extending from an end part on one side in the horizontal direction of the contact parts (53) and from the other side in the horizontal direction of the contact parts and the wearers non-skin side and a second inclined wall part (52) extending from an end part on the other side in the horizontal direction of the contact part to one side of the horizontal direction of the contact parts and the wearers non-skin side.
