PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an electron beam irradiation device for open containers reducing fungi and oxygen carried into the device, using a simple constitution and using electron beams of lower energy.SOLUTION: The electron beam irradiation device for open containers includes a container installed region 1, an electron beam irradiation region 2, an electron beam source 11 and a container ejection region 3. A gas inlet for introducing helium or neon is provided so that the regions maintain a helium or neon atmosphere, at a pressure slightly higher than the atmospheric pressure a connection part 4 between the container installation region 1 and the electron beam irradiation region 2 is provided, at a position higher than a container entrance 6 a connection part 5 between the electron beam irradiation region 2 and a container ejection region 3 is provided at a position higher than a container exit and the electron beam irradiation region 2 substantially is filled with helium or neon.COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT【課題】装置内に持ち込まれる菌や酸素を低減することを簡易な構成で実現し、かつ低エネルギー電子線を用いた開口容器用電子線照射装置を実現する。【解決手段】容器搬入領域1と、電子線照射領域2と、電子線源11と、容器排出領域3とで開口容器用電子線照射装置を構成し、前記各領域が大気圧よりもわずかに高い圧力のヘリウムまたはネオン雰囲気を保持するようヘリウムまたはネオンを注入する気体注入口を設け、容器搬入領域1と電子線照射領域2との接続部4を容器入口6より高位置に設け、電子線照射領域2と容器排出領域3の接続部5を、容器出口より高位置に設け、電子線照射領域2をヘリウムまたはネオンで実質的に満たされるようにした。【選択図】図1
