PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the position of a light emission part in an observed part by clearly discriminating the light emission part of a special image and its circumferential part concerning an image pickup device for picking-up the special image such as a fluorescence image.SOLUTION: The image pickup device includes: a special light irradiation part for irradiating the observed part with the special light an image pickup element for receiving light emitted from the observed part by the irradiation of the special light and picking-up the special image and an image pickup part having a special light cut filter for cutting light with a wavelength band being equal to or lower than the wavelength of the special light. The device includes an illumination light irradiation part for irradiating the observed part with illumination light with a wavelength which transmits the special light cut filter and is within the sensitivity range of the image pickup element.
