The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing healing of a damaged area of skin tissue that can be significantly larger than the area of tissue removed from the donor site, including recoloring. This exemplary healing can be performed in a clinical environment using a mechanical process that is not required by cell culture, enzymes, or specialized laboratory equipment.
