PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a plant having a sugar translocation passage different from a wild type, a plant made by the method and further a kit used in the method.SOLUTION: In this method, the expression of RSXI gene is increased in a plant cell to control the expression, thereby controlling the sugar translocation of a plant including the plant cell. According to the method, a plant is changed in its sugar translocation to a mode different from that of the wild type. Further the invention provides the kit for changing the sugar translocation passage for a plant.
