PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel which can adequately assist a motor when a handle is operated.SOLUTION: A fishing reel which includes a motor for transmitting the rotation of a handle to a spool through a clutch and assists the rotation of the handle, includes: a sensor for detecting the rotation of the handle a sensor for detecting the rotation of the spool and a control part for controlling the motor on the basis of detection signals from the two rotation sensors.
