PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cardiotachometry device which can be fastened to a chest part by a belt with appropriate strength by a simple operation and simultaneously, can start and end measuring and recording operations of a heart rate, and to provide an operation method of the cardiotachometry device.SOLUTION: In the cardiotachometry device 1, at a position where connection bars 12A and 12B abut on a stop pin 13a and stopped, the other end sides (both end parts of the belt) of the connection bars 12A and 12B are brought close to each other, the belt 20 is set to a fastened state, and a power source of a measurement portion 10 is set to an ON state.
