PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mattress which is used so as to be compressed from a longitudinal direction end and allows shear stress of the mattress upon compression to be efficiently loaded on a punched hole to be easily contracted, without increasing processing man-hours of the punched hole, and also is free from strength reduction, and to provide a bed device using the mattress.SOLUTION: In a part which is deformed due to compression from a longitudinal direction end, plural punched holes 28 in a cross shape containing a straight line which is oblique with respect to a width direction of a mattress 18 are penetration-formed at predetermined intervals. Inclinations of the predetermined straight lines of the plural holes in the cross shape are alternately oblique in the longitudinal direction of the mattress, and the inclination angle is different from that of the other straight line.【課題】長手方向端部から圧縮を受けるように用いられるマットレスであって、打抜き穴の加工工数を増加させずに圧縮時にマットレスのせん断応力が効率良く打抜き穴に負荷されて収縮し易く、かつ、強度も低下しないマットレス及びマットレスを用いるベッド装置を提供する。【解決手段】長手方向端部からの圧縮によって変形する部分に、マットレス１８の幅方向に対して斜めの一字を含む十字状の打抜き穴２８を複数、所定間隔ごとに貫通形成し、前記複数の十字状の穴における前記所定の一字の傾きが、マットレスの長手方向に交互に斜めになり、かつ、他の一字の傾きと傾斜角度が異なるように形成する。【選択図】図９
