FIELD: food industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for production of corn or potato-based dough food products and to an oven for drying and/or heating flat dough pieces. According to the invention the method envisages production of dough, its rolling, cutting pieces of rolled dough, running cut pieces through the oven for drying and/or heating, twisting dough pieces to produce hollow thin tubes during or after heating and/or drying. The oven for drying and/or heating flat dough pieces has a device for twisting flat dough pieces during drying or immediately after it. The twisted food products produced of corn or potato-based flat dough pieces have the form of hollow thin tubes with fat content equal to 18% - 26%, measured without seasonings.
