PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of retaining diffusivity of humor discharged from a wearer and deformation of an absorber.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 includes a first absorber 13 disposed at a crotch part to be applied to a crotch area of a wearer. The first absorber 13 includes side slits 13B, the absorbent material of which has a lower weight per unit area than that of a peripheral area, is provided along a first direction as one of the longitudinal direction and the width direction. Each side slit 13B has a first edge and a second edge extending in the first direction, and a distance between the first edge and the second edge in a second direction orthogonal in the first direction is changing. The side slit 13B has a short part 13C where the distance between the first edge and the second edge is relatively short, and a long part 13D where the distance between the first edge and the second edge is longer than that of the short part.
