PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily refer to necessary images and to reduce the labor and time for deleting unnecessary images.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes various means. Recording direction means directs, to an X-ray image now on display, recording of position information within first storage means. Position recording means records position information of a given section within the first storage means, with the above-mentioned direction as a trigger. Regeneration means, after the generation of X rays is stopped, regenerates as a moving picture the X-ray images within the first storage means based on the recorded position information. Specification means specifies X-ray images to be stored permanently among the regenerated X-ray images.
