PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect catching device capable of efficiently catching only insects having phototaxis which exist inside, without attracting insects having phototaxis from an external part in a culture facility or a farm field, and a method using the same device.SOLUTION: An insect catching device comprises: a light attraction part 1 being formed of thin plate members 11, 11 being arranged in left and right parts in an expanded manner in a lateral direction in a substantially turned V shape, in view from top face, and a light source 13 installed on a center 12 directed to the expansion direction of the thin plate members； a catching part 2 formed of a funnel-shaped catching member 21 connected to a lower part of the light attraction part 1 and a catching hole 22 on a lower end of the catching member 21； and a collection container 4 for collecting insects caught by the catching part 2. In the insect catching device, an arrangement angle of the right and left thin plate members 11, 11 on the light attraction part 1 is within 90 degrees, and as the thin plate member, a member having light block property, is used.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT【課題】 栽培施設や圃場において、外部からの走光性昆虫類を誘引することなく、内部の走光性昆虫類のみを効率的に捕獲することのできる捕虫装置及びこれを用いた捕虫方法を提供すること。【解決手段】 上面からみて略くの字形に、左右方向に拡開状に配置された薄板状部材１１、１１及び薄板状部材の拡開方向に向けた中央部１２に設置された光源１３からなる光誘引部１と；光誘引部１の下部に連接された漏斗状の捕獲部材２１及び捕獲部材２１の下端に形成された捕獲孔２２からなる捕獲部２と；捕獲部２によって捕獲された虫類を回収する回収容器４と；を備えた捕虫装置であって、光誘引部１における左右の薄板状部材１１、１１の配置角度を９０度以内とすると共に薄板状部材として光遮蔽性を有するものを用いたことを特徴とする捕虫装置。【選択図】 図３
