PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect trapping device capable of efficiently attracting insects on the basis of their behavior.SOLUTION: As a result of using polarizers 231, 232 having different vibration directions, an edge is formed on a boundary between the polarizers 231, 232 by a longitudinal polarized light whose vibration direction is a vertical direction and a horizontal polarized light whose vibration direction is a horizontal direction, thereby effectively attracting a harmful insect. In addition, an attracting device 13 can be used as an inexpensive and safe lighting device because wavelength of a light source to be used for the lighting device is not limited, so that the device can be made low-cost and general-purpose.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】昆虫の挙動に基づき、効率よく昆虫を誘引する誘引装置等を提供する。【解決手段】相互に振動方向が異なる偏光板231,232により、偏光板231,232の境界に、振動方向が鉛直方向の縦偏光と振動方向が水平方向の横偏光とによってエッジが形成されるので、これにより害虫を効果的に誘引することができる。また、誘引装置13は、照明装置に用いる光源の波長が限定されないので、安価で安全な照明装置とすることができ、装置の低コスト化と汎用化を図ることができる。【選択図】図46
