PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biopsy device enabling even a powerless person to perform charge operation.SOLUTION: The biopsy device holds a biopsy needle constituted by an inner needle and an outer needle which slide relative to each other, performs lock of the inner and outer needles at "charge position" respectively, and injects the inner and outer needles to "projection position" by releasing the lock. In an inner needle charge operation part 30 charging the inner needle, a slide gear rack extending in the slide direction is arranged, while in a casing 11, a fixed gear rack extending in the slide direction is arranged. An inner needle slider 20 holds rotatably a pinion gear 302 engaging with both of the slide gear rack and the fixed gear rack. As a result, sliding of the inner needle charge operation part 30 causes sliding of the pinion gear 302 in the same direction while rotating, thereby causes sliding of the inner needle slider 20 in the same direction.
