A method of dyeing and re-dyeing the hair comprising a dyeing step of forming an oxidized dye polymer composed of specific oxidation dyes and having a distinctive property in the inside of the hair and a re-dyeing step of performing a treatment including at least degradation of the oxidized dye polymer by allowing a hair re-dye composition which contains an oxidizing agent and has a pH higher than 9.6 at the time of use to act on the hair after the dyeing step. By the above method, while a sufficient hair-dyeing power is achieved at the time of dyeing the hair first, a degradation treatment of the oxidized dye polymer having a dark color tone formed in the inside of the hair using the oxidation hair dyes is performed without performing a dye removal treatment with a dye remover, and a hair dye treatment or a bleaching treatment to give a light color can be favorably performed.本發明提供了一種染髮和重染的方法,所述方法包括在頭髮內部形成由特定的氧化染料組成並具有獨特性質的氧化的染料聚合物的染髮步驟;和進行至少包括在所述染髮步驟後通過使含氧化劑且使用時pH高於9.6的頭髮重染組合物作用於頭髮上而降解所述氧化的染料聚合物的處理的重染步驟。通過上述方法,首先在染髮時獲得足夠的染髮能力的同時,頭髮內部用所述氧化染髮劑形成的具有深色調的氧化的染料聚合物的降解處理的進行無需用脫染劑進行染料脫除處理,且可有利地進行染髮劑處理或漂白處理以得到淺色。
