A method for producing chocolate chips, including: a) feeding a mixture of milk and sugar into a reaction tank, or mixing milk and sugar together in a reaction tank； b) evaporating excess liquid from the mixture in a reaction tank to obtain sweetened condensed milk； c) adding cocoa mass / grated cocoa in the reaction tank during and / or after steps (a) and / or (b)； d) subjecting the mixture in the reaction tank to conditions effective to effect crystallization of sugar in the mixture； e) drying the mixture to produce chocolate chips. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein step (b) and / or (d) comprises heating the mixture. The method of claim 7, wherein the mixture is heated under reduced pressure. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of adding fat to the mixture before or during step (e).
