To provide a wearing article with an excretion receiving area which has liquid absorption properties and can form an excretion receiving space of relatively sufficient dimensions without impairing wearing feeling.SOLUTION: An absorber 25 of a wearing article 10 includes an excretion receiving area 50 which is in the form of an island and has liquid absorption properties and a liquid-absorbing peripheral area 51 located to enclose the excretion receiving area 50. After the absorber 25 absorbs a body fluid, a thickness dimension D1 of the excretion receiving area 50 is smaller than a thickness dimension D2, D3 of the peripheral area.
