The present invention provides an electrode holding and releasing device which includes: an electrode holding unit having an electrode insertion unit formed to accommodate an electrode； and a pressing unit connected to the electrode holding unit to adjust a relative distance to the electrode insertion unit and to hold or release the electrode accommodated in the electrode insertion unit. A spring is installed on one surface of the pressing unit so that the pressing unit can maintain the electrode to be held by compressive force. A wire is installed to be caught in the pressing unit while being compressed so that the pressing unit is away from the electrode insertion unit to enable the electrode to be in the state of being released.본 발명은, 전극을 수용 가능하도록 형성되는 전극 삽입부를 구비하는 전극 고정부； 및 상기 전극 삽입부에 상대 거리 조절 가능하도록 상기 전극 고정부에 연결되어 상기 전극 삽입부에 수용된 전극을 고정 또는 릴리즈 가능하도록 이루어지는 누름부를 포함하고, 압축력에 의해 상기 누름부가 상기 전극을 고정 가능한 상태로 유지시키도록, 상기 누름부의 일 면에는 스프링이 설치되고, 상기 누름부가 상기 전극 삽입부로부터 멀어지게 되어 상기 전극을 릴리즈 가능한 상태가 되게 하도록, 와이어는 수축된 상태에서 상기 누름부에 걸림되도록 설치되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전극 고정 및 릴리즈 장치를 제공한다.
