PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating handle apparatus which prevents optical fibers from being broken when operated.SOLUTION: The operating handle apparatus for an in vivo diagnostic device includes: a long cylindrical insertion section 1 an operating wire 4 for curving the distal end section 1a with one end fixed to the insertion section 1 in the distal end section optical fibers (14 and 18) each of which keeps one end fixed the insertion section 1 in the distal end section an insertion section holding handle 22 which holds the rear end of the insertion section 1 through which the operating wire 4 and the optical fibers are passed and an operating wire holding handle 21 which freely slidably holds the insertion section holding handle 22. Then, a long cylindrical guide cylinder 17 which fixedly holds the optical fibers in the internal cylinder is fixed to the insertion section holding handle 22 in a direction in which the insertion section 1 extends.
