PURPOSE: A polymer compound and a drug delivery system are provided to be easily manufactured by introducing tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine into a polymer side chain, and to be used for a drug delivery system.CONSTITUTION: A polymer compound is coupled to a tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine. The polymer compound is a carboxyl group-containing biodegradable polymer compound. The tris(2-carboxylethyl)phosphine forms a combination through chemical reaction with a carboxyl group. A chemical bond between the carboxyl group of the tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine and the carboxyl group of the polymer is coupled to the carboxyl group of the polymer compound through a linker.
