PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a material for removal of sulfuric gases which provides a material for removal of sulfuric gases having sufficiently high removal performance for sulfuric gases.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a material for removal of sulfuric gases includes a process of bringing a solution containing a silver salt and a solvent into contact with an adsorbent containing activated charcoal to make the silver salt supported by the adsorbent in order to obtain a silver-salt-supporting adsorbent, a process of baking the silver-salt-supporting adsorbent to obtain a precursor for a gas removal material and a process of anodizing the precursor for a gas removal material to obtain a material for removal of sulfuric gases composed of the adsorbent and silver oxide(II) supported by the adsorbent.
