The present invention relates to ovalbumin nanocomposite particles having improved solubility of curcumin, and a method of preparing the same, wherein the ovalbumin nanocomposite particles are formed through an encapsulation of ovalbumin by curcumin via hydrophobic interaction of ovalbumin and curcumin. According to the present invention, the ovalbumin nanocomposite particles in the state of an aqueous solution form ovalbumin nanocomposite particles through hydrophobic interaction of ovalbumin and curcumin, and thus increase the solubility of curcumin with respect to water, which may lead to an increase in physiological activities in vivo.
