A pharmaceutical waste disposal assembly (10) for disposing of fluid pharmaceutical waste comprises a fluid receiver body (219) and a fluid absorber (270A). The fluid receiver body (219) receives the fluid pharmaceutical waste. The fluid absorber (270A) is positioned within the fluid receiver body (219). The fluid absorber (270A) absorbs and retains the fluid pharmaceutical waste. The fluid absorber (270A) includes a plurality of levels (270L, 270M, 270U) that are spaced apart from one another. The plurality of levels (270L, 270M, 270U) can be oriented substantially vertically relative to one another so that the fluid pharmaceutical waste is distributed to each of the plurality of levels (270L, 270M, 270U) of the fluid absorber (270A).
