The main objective of the present invention is to provide an emulsion composition for the skin which comprises at least one type selected from the group consisting of a polyacrylic acid and a salt thereof, an alkyl modified carboxy polymer, and a compound represented by general formula (I) (In the formula, R1, R2, and R3 are the same or different and are an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms substituted with one or more hydroxyl groups, provided that at least one of R1, R2, and R3 is an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms substituted with one or more hydroxyl groups.)
