Vacuum lifting of set number of seed grains of different size and shape to simplify counting of seeds which are to be sown at a set number per unit area
The seed counter has a hollow chamber with an orifice to allow introduction of a suction device. Facing this orifice is a surface with a set number of holes, for example one hundred. The size of the holes is set so that the seed cannot pass through and is trapped in the hole. The chamber is then opened so when the suction is removed the seed caught in the holes falls into a container.
