PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmologic apparatus capable of smoothly vertically moving a body.SOLUTION: The ophthalmologic apparatus includes: a movable section on which an apparatus body for observing or photographing a subject's eye, is mounted； a vertical movement mechanism having a drive section for vertically moving the movable section； an operation member having a rotation section that is operated by an examiner for vertically moving the movable section and is provided rotationally in a predetermined direction； a detection section for detecting a rotation amount and a rotation speed of the rotation section for every unit time； and drive control means that controls the drive section to drive on the basis of the detection result of the detection section. The drive control means changes a drive time of the drive section per unit time according to the rotation speed detected for every unit time and, in a micromotion operation, increases the drive time of the drive section with respect to that in a coarse motion operation.
