PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation apparatus that can prevent a work carriage from colliding a cultivation rack or wheels of the work carriage from riding over a base plate.SOLUTION: A plant cultivation apparatus 1 comprises: a cultivation rack 2 having a plurality of support posts 7, and a plurality of mounting parts 4 which are provided in a vertical direction with a gap by using the support posts 7, and mounts a cultivation vessel 3 in which plants are planted； and illuminating devices 5 which are arranged above each mounting part 4 with a gap. Both side faces on front and rear of the cultivation rack 2 are work planes facing an operator. On a bottom edge of the support posts 7 facing the work plane of the cultivation rack 2, a base plate 16 that is fixed on a floor surface 8, on which the cultivation rack 2 is installed, and has a protrusion part protruded for an operator side from the work plane of the cultivation rack 2 is provided. A rack guard 17 which prevents a work carriage from colliding the work plane of the cultivation rack 2 and prevents the wheels of the work carriage from riding over the base plate 16 is provided in a fixed manner for the protrusion part of the base plate 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】作業台車の栽培ラックへの衝突や、作業台車の車輪のベースプレート上への乗り上げを防止しうる植物栽培装置を提供する。【解決手段】植物栽培装置１は、複数の支柱７、および支柱７を利用して上下方向に間隔をおいて設けられかつ植物が植えられた栽培槽３を載せる複数の載置部４を有する栽培ラック２と、各載置部４の上方に間隔をおいて配置された照明装置５とを備えている。栽培ラック２の前後両側面が作業者と向き合う作業面となる。栽培ラック２の作業面に臨む支柱７の下端に、栽培ラック２が設置される床面８に固定され、かつ栽培ラック２の作業面から作業者側に突出する突出部を有するベースプレート16を設ける。ベースプレート16の突出部に、作業台車の栽培ラック２の作業面への衝突を防止するとともに、作業台車の車輪のベースプレート16上への乗り上げを防止するラックガード17を固定状に設ける。【選択図】図１
