PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the hydrolyzability of an absorbent article such as a panty liner, a sanitary napkin and the like.SOLUTION: A hydrolyzable absorbent article includes: a top sheet a back sheet and an absorber interposed between the top sheet and the back sheet. The top sheet and the back sheet are formed of span lace nonwoven fabric, and the direction of a fine groove on the surface of the span lace nonwoven fabric is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article. The surface of at least one of the top sheet, the back sheet and the absorber is coated with a liner adhesive regularly or irregularly meandering in two or more lines, and the coating direction of the linear adhesive is orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article, and a belt-like joint part formed by joining the top sheet and the back sheet by crimping is provided along the peripheral edge of the absorbent article.
